Expansion joint treatment

Issue:
Expansion joints in this structure had prone to water ingress, joint failure, and structural movement, leading to cracks, leakage, and long-term deterioration. If left untreated, this can compromise the building’s integrity and safety.
Solution:
SVC implemented high-performance expansion joint treatment by using flexible, weather-resistant sealants, and precision-engineered joint covers. Our solution effectively accommodates structural movement while preventing water infiltration and ensuring long-term durability.

Steps of our Projects

Step 1
Measuring expansion joint and opening the joint as per design
Step 2
Surface preparation using angle grinder & nosing
Step 3
Providing Backer rod to the joint
Step 4
Providing masking tape & applying polysulphide sealant
Step 5
Removing masking tape
Step 6
TPE Tape is fixed on the adhesive and rolled
